Re:What are the top 5 trips in the Dominican Republic - 2007/02/08 00:01
What a fantastic question -mmm so many things to do in so little time,,, ok here are some ideas for you to chew over....
Outback Safari - Great safari fun trip for all the family. Go out and really get to know the Dominican Republic. An informative and fun packed day, see a Dominican house, learn about the culture, customs, nature, go to a petting zoo, see local country dancers, get to experience boogie boarding this list goes on...
Freestyle Catamarans - A wonderful sailing and snorkelling adventure along the north coast. Relax on a luxury catamaran for the day, learn to snorkel on the best reef on the north, feed the fish, listen to steel drums back on board, have a bit of a dance or relax and sunbathe, great fast sail back to shore in the afternoon.....
Ocean World - A brilliant day out to see sea life up close, dolphins, sea lions, exotic bird sanctury, sting rays, sharks, even rare white tigers!! Swim with dolphins extra cost but a beautiful and well designed park to walk around and simply take in and photograph all the wonderul creatures....
Santo Domingo - Take a day out to see our amazing capital of the Dominican Republic! Find out all about Christopher Columbus, walk round the colonial zone of the city, visit the cathedral, go shopping, see the national aquarium and touch and feel the oldest city of the New World, a good trip for culture vultures...
White Water Rafting - OK here you gooooooooooooooo Jarabacoa otherwise known as the Dominican Alps is the place you'll be if you fancy experiencing the adrenalin pumping thrill of taking on the white rapids. Tuition and full safety gear included in this thrilling day out.......
I would put these trips as the top 5 on the north coast. I have been on all of the trips and had some of my best days here on the island in the last 10 yrs on Outback Safari and Freestyle Catamarans.
Hope this helps you out a bit, and you can always give us a call when you are in resort for any further help... Have a great holiday...
